Phone calls breaking up with hearing aids IOS 18

My hearing aids are connected to my iphone 15 pro max via bluetooth and "My Phonak" app, when I was on IOS17 I could answer calls with my phone still in my pocket and double tap the hearing aid and continue the call, but since IOS18 I can do the same except the call breaks up and I miss some of the conversation, I have tried the same with an Android phone and it works perfectly, I have contacted Apple through the Beta app, so, is there a solution,(restores do not work).

This was happening in the beta, once I swapped back to iOS 17, it was still happening. I was hoping that it would have been resolved, but as it turns out it doesn't work. This is very frustrating; I can't even have a decent call without the adjacent hearing aid dropping. I had my hearing aids professional's swap the connecting hearing aid. It doesn't seem to rectify the issue. Can we please get this resolved. It's not like I spend $12k for the hearing aids and then 1.2k for the phone to have this problem

I tried this site prior to replying to davy-boy, Alancito. I didn’t see an appropriate link to the iOS itself. Apps, hardware, etc, but no iOS. Did my OLD eyes fail me?

I have had this happen a few times before. In those cases I went to my provider where I acquired my hearing aids and they reset then adjusted them fresh to my phone for me. Just a suggestion

It appears that downgrading to iOS 17 is no longer possible (after 09/24/2024). I don’t believe I would attempt doing so even if it were possible…above my pay grade, davy-boy.
