iPhone 16 Pro Battery Draining Quickly

Recently bought a new iPhone 16 Pro very upset about the battery life. It seems like I’m consistently charging my phone. I’m very glad to hear others are having this problem. It’s very disappointing as a Apple user to have a new product and the battery is just dying so fast

I had the same issue with my 16 pro max. It would drain to 30% within a few hours of screen time. I tried this fix via my Mac and now the battery is working well. I charged my phone 6 hours ago and after intense use of social media apps, It still has 85% left. Thanks for this mate!

My old iPhone 13 with 80% battery health last longer than this new iPhone 16 pro battery when left side by side playing a video one mute, the 16 pro was on 14% while my standard 13 was still 34… what is up with this? They are both running iOS 18.2

Thanks for the update. That has been found to resolve the issue. For those without a Mac to reset the phone, it can also be done at the Apple Store or using a friend's computer. This will also be the first thing that is done when requesting support. Enjoy your phone and the impressive battery performance.

I have the same problem, with new 16pro battery draining faster and running hotter than my 14pro. I’ve been using it for 6 days and no improvement yet - will Apple fix this with an update or should I return my 16pro and keep my 14pro? Not enough space on my MacBook to reset per other reco in this thread.

I bought my phone 5 days ago and I have battery issues with it! I’ll try the way you said to me! It’s a good idea to do it after 5 days of using or I need to give more time to my battery!? And if it’s possible can you share how did you done that process?

I got my IPhone 16 pro almost a month ago, have turned off all the background refreshes, deleted apps and files that were suggested, I’ve done everything I was told to do. The battery is still ****… how much longer do I have to wait for it to finish “loading” or whatever?

does factory reset work theough the phone too or does it have to be a macbook? Im gonna get insane fron the problem…

I went to my background app refresh setting and basically turned off all the background app refreshing except 2-3 that seemed to help! I don’t know how I had it set for my prior phone.
