AirPods 4 ANC - low call volume on MS Teams on Windows 11

I have the same issue with my new AirPods 4 with NC. Sound works for YouTube etc. but I don't get any from Teams. Also tried to disable the Hands-Free device but didn't help. No issues with other Bluetooth headset such as Jabra.

I've noticed this strange thing. That slider is greyed and can't be moved. While I don't know exactly because on W11 Audio Mixer there are multiple "Microsoft Teams" (Probably one per window), but maybe that one is related to the problem

Hi everybody, I just got my new Airpods 4 ANC, and immediately experienced the same issue with MS Teams. This is unacceptable. I tried all the suggestions and it simply doesn't help. I want to hear properly and I want others to hear me properly. I am not willing to compensate with microphone being switched to another device. Apple and Microsoft please fix this issue! This is an insult to us as your customers.

Also experiencing the same issue when using Zoom, and it’s frustrating that it’s still unresolved after more than four months from the initial report.

This seems like a significant flaw that impacts anyone relying on video call platforms.

Does anyone know if Apple is actively addressing this issue? If not, what’s the best way to escalate this?

you sit pretty close to your laptop mic then? Mine is positioned in a way for me to better utilize my monitor so I have it set a little ways off. Ppl having trouble hearing me with array on so I use the airpod mic .

We made a huge investment in cutting-edge technology from two of the biggest tech companies in the world, and the headset simply doesn’t work!!!! It’s the basics!!!

Are we, the customers, the ones who have to run dozens of tests to find a solution? Where is Apple and Microsoft’s support?

Are we supposed to rely on workarounds?

I'm very disappointed! After several months, all my efforts were in vain.

The sound volume of the Apple AirPods 4 when using Microsoft Teams is extremely low, making it unusable.

It feels like we have no support from either Microsoft or Apple on this. And we really need a solution. Airpod 4 do not work with Microsoft Teams on Windows 11. Microphone doesn't work, low audio. Ran every possible update and solution and nothing will keep it working.

Hello, any definitive solution for this topic, i've tried the proposed solution on device manager, but it didn't work for me. i'm using an HP windows 11 laptop, the issue is just with teams calls. regards

I also had the issue with my new Airpods 4 without ANC. Very low volume for the people on the other Teams side. I could work perfectly with the web version of Teams, there the volume was normal.

Apparently this has been solved somehow, maybe with some Windows 11 updates. Now I can hear the people loud and clear in my Airpods. Very happy with this, since it is for work, and I did not want to buy other (low quality) earbuds for this. I had already 2 earbuds broken in 2.5year time. Hope these Airpods last longer.

So, I didn't apply any of the above suggestions, the issue went away.

Same issue for me - brand new AirPods. The volume is extremely low in MS Teams unless I use another device as a mic. I appreciate knowing the cause - but this is unacceptable.

oddly enough I have another windows laptop where this is not an issue (volume level is fine even when using the A4 mic), gave up trying to understand what's going on
