Hi,

After upgrading to MacOS 15 Sequoia, my MS remote desktop has become unstable and getting disconnected / connected repeatedly every minute.

Do I missing any setting?

I updated today the Windows App and the issue is still there.

The "workarounds" on playing with firewall etc. are not applicable, I am on a company network and cannot touch any those items. The impact is massive and we need an ETA on resolution.

regards

Many people are having trouble with networking in Sequoia. Try these fixes:

1) If you are running the built-in application firewall, turn it off.

2) If you are using a VPN, turn it off. (Some VPNs seem to work fine, some do not.)

3) If you are running any kind of 3rd party "security" app, turn it off. Many of these are incompatible.

4) Repeat #3. I've had people say, "I did all that and the problem is still there!". Then, later they admit, "well, I turned off Little Snitch and now it's fixed."

I just did a fresh OS install on a company 2019 iMac to Sequoia 15.0.1. I'm seeing the same issues with frequent disconnects from RDP sessions on local internal networks and sometimes other apps also appear to drop connection. All the while, I can keep a constant and continuous ping to external internet based IP addresses without any timeouts or high latency.

I don't have the option to turn off the built in firewall for security reasons. I'm specifically commenting to add that I'm still having the issues described here on a fresh install of Sequoia with the latest patch. I read somewhere else that there was some TCP traffic corruption being caused by Sequoia somehow, but for some of those reporting, that appeared to be resolved with the 15.0.1 patch. Not seeing good results on my end.

I am having the same issues after upgrading to Sequoia 15.0.1, however any type of remote connection software that is used on a consistent basis will drop while actively working in a session. This also happens while remote users are connected to my device to troubleshoot my experience. I was able to capture the below error when my remote desktop session dropped today.

RDPSECURITYFILTER(ERR): Disconnecting with disconnect reason: SSL_ERR_DECRYPTION_FAILED

From the Microsoft KB...

There is now an update to RDP version 11 in the App Store. For whatever reason it did not show up under "updates." I had to select the RDP app in my account in the app store and then it gave me the option to update. It's now called Windows app, quite different.

This is the "Windows App" referred to by others in this thread.

It worked for me.
