Issue with AirPods Pro 2 and iOS 18: Ringtone Volume Extremely Loud

I have the exact same issue and it is driving me nuts. I've wasted hours of time trying to figure out why my phone ringing is not audible through my AirPods Pro yet every other notification is fine. There is not a single setting that I can find that solves this problem. I even went so far as to file a claim with AppleCare and they sent me a new pair of AirPods Pro and it still didn't solve the problem. They didn't seem to have any clue what I was talking about when I described the issue so if nothing else I feel better knowing that I am not alone. This is beyond annoying. If my phone rings while I have my headphones in, the only thing that happens is everything goes silent so now I have to train my brain to pull my phone out of my bag When it's silent and hopefully I catch the phone call before I've missed it. Beyond annoying.

I don’t have personalised volume enabled in the first place. Also checked the reduce loud sound as other suggested, but that too is already disabled.

Just to add, AirPods Pro 2 are useless with the iPhone ios18 if you need to hear notifications. No ringtone or Siri sounds. But if I connect another pair of non Apple headphones. Works fine.

I am on 18.2 and it’s an awful mess still.

I am going to Apple Store tomorrow. If I get this (my OPPOSITE problem - no ringing through pods) sorted out I will be back with an update. I have had these Pods only 30 hours and installed this morning.

So apparently bold and negative sentences are not in line with the forum etiquette.

I m facing the same issue.. I am nt able to hear ringing sound.

Same issue for me. I've tried everything. Updating the hardware on the AirPods. Restarting the phone. Disconnecting and forgetting the AirPods and reconnecting. All of my software is up-to-date. Nothing works. The ringtone is in Audible through the AirPods yet no issue with the sound level of notifications etc. It's literally the phone ringing that is in Audible. Instead everything goes silent. It's ridiculous.

This is actually getting ridiculous that Apple is not fixing this issue. I have never been so frustrated as I am with this particular bug. The number of calls I miss is insane and this feels like a simple fix

I am having nothing but problems as well. I hate this new update simply because of this. I don’t care about all the flashy screens and the AI. I just want my **** AirPods to work properly the way they used to before this update. It is painful and very frustrating.

It seems to affect only my AirPods Pro 2. My Beats Fit Pro works perfectly announcing caller and hearing the phone ring just fine...Switch to my AirPods and no ring and you would have to be in a perfectly quiet room to hear any caller announcement. And it is only with calls that this happens. Other notifications like reading text messages, no issues

FYI, the option to use 1 AirPod with noise control is in Accessibility>AirPods>[Your Device]>Noise cancellation with one AirPod

Same thing, I tried everything even in an apple store but it didn't solve it and the problem is in the latest firmware that has problems. It's time Apple fixed it!

If you weren't looking at your phone you would miss the call if your Pro 2's are in your ear...Cleary a bug going on
