I noticed my iphone 16 I purchased 3 days back, the display started flashing purple on the edges of the screen when it dims before turns off. But the flashing goes away when you touch the screen on press a button as u usually do to stop it from turning off. It only happens during that dim state. Maybe it has something to do with the 1 nit brightness on the new screens. Anyone else experience this

This happened to me also on my 16 plus, just about it was going to auto lock, during the dim state, it flickered pink. I changed from the stock Ultramarine wallpaper to another one and it has not happened again since. Seems to be a bug with the new wallpapers. I really liked the new ones also though. Hopefully they release a bug fix for this.
I'm thinking, if Apple haven’t acknowledged this, it may be something without importance and just a minor inconvenience. Just a thought!
I am experiencing the same issue. This has occurred to me three times with the new iPhone 16. This is frustrating. Why is Apple not ensuring that the phones are sold in perfect condition?
