How to enable speech on Kindle for Mac Sonoma
I found the text to speech speech feature is located in the Kindle menu, under Edit-Speech-Start/Stop Speaking. Posting a new comment as the old question is locked.

But... Kindle reads a page and then pops up a copy protection error. "Your copy limit for this book has been exceeded." This copy of the book is a library loan. But this also happens with items I have purchased on Amazon. Seems text to speech is still broken in a new and interesting way.
