WhatsApp hangs after Siri reads an incoming message out on CarPlay

Guys I have progress!

I switched out my USB cable for a new one and it now seems to work. Must have been something to do with the cable connection (this doesn’t help if your CarPlay connection is via Bluetooth tho). Give it a try and let me know if it helps, would be interested to see!

Same problem here, I updated my XS max to IOS 18, always worked fine with IOS17!! Can't reply whatsapp messages and hangs if more to read, so who's problem is this, Whatsapp or IOS (the chicken or the egg).

Today I got an update of Whatsapp, it’s working now😊

This exact thing is happening to me too! WhatsApp used to read the message and say ‘do you want to reply?’ But now it just freezes at the end or even in the middle of a message. Have tried resetting and updating everything, nothing seems to work. Have looked all over the internet too but this is the first time I’ve come across someone else with the same problem. Would be grateful if someone could help us!
