Apple car play stopped playing WhatsApp msgs

Just a few days ago, this happened. I have an iPhone 13 with Apple car play. A WhatsApp message comes up so you click on read unread messages. What used to happen was Siri would read it out, then you have the option to reply. Now you click on read unread msgs, and it jumps straight to “do you want to reply?” Without reading the message out?!? Tie

WhatsApp hangs after Siri reads an incoming message out on CarPlay When an incoming message in WhatsApp is read aloud by Siri in CarPlay the app hangs and you cannot reply, reread or not reply. You can press the tiles icon in bottom right of the screen to return to the normal in car display. It also no longer recognises the names of group chats. This has happened for roughly the last 5 days. I have checked the App Store and there is no app update available for WhatsApp. Updating to the latest iOS has had no effect either. For someone who does 2-600 miles a day in the car this is incredibly frustrating.

CarPlay stopped reading WhatsApp messages Up until a couple of weeks ago everything on CarPlay working fine. Now CarPlay shows red dot to show I have new WhatsApp message. Ask CarPlay to read message and Siri just says do you want to reply, without reading the message ? I can still compose and send a new message and reply to the incoming message, Siri just won’t read the new incoming message ? as far as I know I haven’t changed any settings on my phone or on CarPlay. i have deleted the phone from the car, deleted the car from the phone, deleted an re-installed WhatsApp, still same issue ?

CarPlay not reading WhatsApp messages My new iPhone 14 pro stopped reading messages from WhatsApp with the vague response that it had trouble reading the message and to try again later strange but no matter when I tried latter same response and over the weeks it became standard Siri would not read or write messages in WhatsApp. Anyone had similar?

Having identical issue. Same issue in Renault traffic and VW golf so it's definitely phone related and not a problem at the head units.
