I did the update to IOS 18.0.1, which I now regret, as I now cannot access my Hotmail emails on my iphone 12 as it states.............my password is wrong. Yet, I can access Hotmail on my iPad and laptop.
My password feature in "Settings" got relocated and and the new "Password" icon doesn't recognise my other passwords.
Thanks for the pain.

Remove your Hotmail account and add it again, choosing "Outlook" in the list of providers.
