Safari Web App Removal

I was removing old and unwanted applications from my MBP earlier today and noticed that I have a lingering Notification from a web app titled app.[insert website name].com .

I searched my MBP (including system files) and cannot find any remaining references to the web app (other than in my Time Machine local backups).

When I reboot my MBP the notification is removed.

When I subsequently open Safari the notification reappears meaning the web app must be somewhere!

Would appreciate help in removing the web app and related notification.

o remove the lingering notification from a web app in Safari on your MacBook Pro:

Open Safari > Preferences > Websites tab. Remove any notifications related to the web app.
Go to the Privacy tab and click Manage Website Data. Search for the web app’s website and remove it.
Check the Extensions tab for any related extensions and uninstall them.
Clear Safari’s cache via the History menu by selecting Clear History.
Restart Safari and check if the notification reappears.

If it persists, check System Preferences > Notifications for any related entries and remove them.

Appreciate the response

As I could not find teh offending website anywhere I am thinking Clearing History was likely the cure but in any event, it seems to have worked. I will check whether the problem back over the next few days.
