Hi.
i want B2 to start with “1” then c2 to be 2 d2 to be 3 and so on till 42. Unpin reaching 42 the next column would start at 1 and count up to 42 again.
can this be possible with a formula in column C2 ?

Try to see if this is what you need.
I did it for convenience on 20, but you can fit it on 42 and instead of putting 19 like I did, put 41.
Put the formula in C2 or B2 if you don't have a header, then drag it to the right.
If you prefer you can also use 42-1 as in second formula where I put 20-1
That formula is in Italian.
SE means IF
Use commas in place of the semicolons.
Type 1 in the starting cell (A2 in this example).
In English, the formula in B2 should be IF(A2>41,1,A2+1)
Fill right.
