Mail Uses All Available Memory Resulting In "Out Of Application Memory" Warning

This issue has persisted for a couple of years now and Apple does nothing to fix it. I've had the problem since at least macOS Ventura, continuing through Sequoia.

There is a simple fix: DON'T USE APPLE MAIL ON YOUR MAC!!!

Download and use SPARK from the App Store. You can access all your accounts in one place and it works without issue.

I've completely given up on Apple fixing this issue and you should to! Shame on them really!

Hi Bob:

Thanks for the reply.

This is frustrated me speaking:

Have you read through all the postings regarding this issue? I think not because there are MANY who have this issue. I've worked in IT. I'm not a newbie. I've had this issue with the last three Operating Systems on a couple of Mac laptops. Safe Boot doesn't fix it. A brand new install with nothing added doesn't fix it. Read all the posts. This is a "fairly" common issue with no fix so far.

"Millions of Mac users use Apple Mail without issue." No kidding, but that is not the many of us! I don't mean to be rude, and I will work with you, but you haven't gone through ALL the experimentation and frustration I/we have! READ THE POSTS!!

Sorry, if I come off rude…, but I've given up.

Hi Bob:

I should have mentioned that I have Activity Monitor open when I'm experiencing this. You can watch Mail gobbling up 100s of GB of virtual after it uses all "real" RAM. That's all you really need to know. I can tell you my config, but if you look at the other posts, the configs are all over the place, so don't help at all. Look for Mail Memory Leak as an example. Some users are more savvy than others!

If you'd like a video of this happening, tell me how to get it to you.

I appreciate your help.

Jeff
