Is there a command or button that restart scrolling in Logic?

During playback the current view (i.e. the Track view or Editor view) scrolls horizontally. Of course when I begin editing in either view during playback scrolling pauses. That's very convenient and makes perfect sense.

But once I’m done editing (and while playback continues) I want a way to update the view location of the playback head (during playback) and reactive scrolling.

Is there a command or button that?

Hi

A search of the key commands for "Catch" shows "Catch playhead position" as available.

This will toggle the Catch function 'on the fly'

You *may* need to "Learn" the key command assignment

Thanks. I think I get it.

a) during playback, selecting a "note" in the Piano Roll toggles the Catch feature to disabled, leaving the screen frozen for easy editing while the piece continues playing. (At least that's USUALLY the case—I don't understand why clicking a note sometimes fails to disable the Catch feature.)

b) Clicking the disabled Catch button enables it—that updates the screen and the window subsequently scrolls so it always shows the playback head. That IS the feature I was looking for. So thanks very much!

I get this behavior when none of the three options are enabled:

    • Catch when Starting Playback

    • Catch when Moving Playhead

    • Catch Content by Position if Catch and Link are Enabled

I get mixed results with other combinations. Must read up on them!
