Last weekend I bought an iPhone 16 Pro Max 512gb, and I’ve noticed that sometimes when I tap the display while it’s in Always-On mode, a few glitch lines briefly appear before disappearing. This happens randomly and not every time. So I’m concerned that the screen might be failing. What should I do about this?

I contacted Apple Support, and they said I could replace the iPhone at the store. However, I think it’s a software bug. I did some research on Reddit and found that this issue mainly happens with the Always-On Display. Since I turned off that feature, it hasn’t happened again

UK iPhone 16PM 256GB / bought via Amazon UK 3 weeks ago and every so often, the screen glitches wirh coloured lines top to bottom and then it's fine...
My previous 16PM (Also from Amazon UK) never had this issue, sold it in Jan this year because I wanted to try the S25U as my daily driver (never again)!
I'm in 2 minds whether to speak to Apple Support and get them to swap it out (I'll go to my closest Apple store in Manchester) or whether to get Amazon to swap it out like for like...

I’m experiencing this issue as well: after my display was replaced under warranty, the colored lines on the screen turned black and white. Neither turning the display off and on nor updating to version 18.5 helped. At the Apple service center, they’re starting to think I’m crazy… iPhone 16 Pro Max 512GB.
I see have iphone 16 plus
which is almost 4 months old now
i see the screen having vertical dotted thin lines, which is small in length
and are randomly flickering throughout the screen
this is more visible in colored pages,
in white backgroud its not much visible
but my wife has also started to see it on her iPhone 16 Pro Max which is on the public release 18.0.1

I have also been having this problem with my 16 Pro Max since launch, and it started happening almost right out of the box. Hopefully Apple gets this fixed soon!

he told me to reset my new iPhone 16 pro max again! I told him i will not. This is clearly should be updated by apple in software update

I also saw that thread. I think it’s ridiculous that to fix the problem we have to disable one of the main selling features for the iPhone.
This has been happening to me too! Ever since I got the phone on pre sale. Anyone able to solve this?

I had my phone replaced and it still does it.
