iPhone 16 Pro Max Screen Occasionally Displays Glitch Lines

Last weekend I bought an iPhone 16 Pro Max 512gb, and I’ve noticed that sometimes when I tap the display while it’s in Always-On mode, a few glitch lines briefly appear before disappearing. This happens randomly and not every time. So I’m concerned that the screen might be failing. What should I do about this?

I contacted Apple Support, and they said I could replace the iPhone at the store. However, I think it’s a software bug. I did some research on Reddit and found that this issue mainly happens with the Always-On Display. Since I turned off that feature, it hasn’t happened again

Hello! I am deeply disappointed with the last Apple product I purchased (iPhone 16 Pro Max - 1 Terabyte), which I spent a lot of money on. The product was purchased in October 2024 and in December the problems with the front camera started, it had a purple tint. I contacted "Apple Support" hoping that it was just a software problem, but the problem is with the camera and now I am left without my phone, which is in service. Basically, a handful of money for a new phone that I was left without, having to transfer all my data so as not to lose it. So far I have only purchased new Apple products, this will be the last! No more apple products !

Hi,

I don’t know what happened with Apple with phones because I saw the people has problems with the 16PM.

In October 2024 I bought a 16 PM - 1 Terabyte ( I regret), and in December 2024 started the problem with front camera (purple tint).

The phone is in service, I have to wait 3 weeks 😖.

I've only seen similar problems with older phones( Iphone 8 and 12 ). Are they even unable to fix these problems on newer models?! Or must the reliability of the phones be reduced?

The inconvenience is huge when you send your phone in for service, because you have to transfer all your personal data. So to have a new iPhone, you need to have an old device to keep as a replacement when it goes in for service. 😖

Thanks for your reply. My issues started the very moment I inserted a Vodafone eSIM into my iPhone. Before that, I had TIM and Fastweb (both on the TIM network) and experienced no glitches. I can’t switch to another carrier because Vodafone offers the One Number option, which I need for my Apple Watch (Tim was unsatisfying to me). I’m not sure if it’s an interference issue—maybe some operators switching to 5G trigger a software bug. Anyway, update after update, at least for me, the glitches are decreasing (but they are still there).
