Dipped in water accidentally (of course) now turns on white bars across black screen. Is it dead or is there anywhere can fix? I tried attaching to PC, says 'IPAD needs restored' and runs through software download and then restart, but just comes up 'restore again after restart (white bars still on screen?) Scrapper or not?

It’s a Gen1 2016 so obsoleted in Apple website, even looking online no one seems to do anything other than screen repair
