Zoom functionality for Mac osx

Hello,

any news on the zoom front? I'm still struggling with how apple implemented zoom functionality.

Most of the times it is "command +", however in notes it is "command /". When using office products I can use Control mouse wheel. And in some others it is command mouse wheel (edraw).

And for zooming in the mail app (list message view) I need to change the font size.

Am I missing something?

Any chance that they will implement something simple that you can zoom by using cmd and scroll wheel (like in windows)?

Thx

You are talking about different things at once.

Command-+ (or Command-=) is supposed to enlarge text or the contents of a window. Alternatively, with a trackpad, you can use a two finger gesture to zoom (but you are using a mouse, so that is off the table).

For zooming the whole screen, the default is Control+scroll (but this can be changed in System Settings - see picture).

The former is dependent on which application you are running.

For example, I can enlarge this text as I am writing in Safari, no problem, or when reading in Mail. In other applications, it depends on what they support.

Zooming the screen globally is controlled in System Settings->Accessibility->Zoom
