iPad Air stuck in some kind of Kiosk mode

When i opened up my iPad Air this morning my Browser (Brave) was open from using it the night before, but I can't close it, switch to another app, or split the screen. I can't activate the keyboard when activating a text field. I can't power off/restart the iPad. I can slide down the notification screen and slide down the right side control Control Center. I can activate Siri. I googled kiosk mode and found some mentions of a single application mode but I never went through any of the steps it specified to activate it and nothing mentioned will deactivate it. How can I get back control of my iPad?

Perhaps you refer to Guided Access mode...

When you are stuck in Guided Access mode, you can be really stuck as the typical triple tap on the home button to quit out of Guided Access may not work. Even a forced exit won't work because the power button and the home button are disabled.

Devices with a physical Home Button

The only way to get out of Guided Access is to press the Home and Power button together for 15 seconds. This should turn off Guided Access by forcibly rebooting your device. Once your device is restarted, you can then go to Settings > Accessibility > Guided Access > Guided Access - and turn off Guided Access if needed.
