compatibility issues b/w logic pro x and Logic Pro 11 projects

I sent my Logic Pro 11 project to Logic Pro 10 user to mix, edit, or master it. The Logic Pro x user said he was unable to open file. The file was compressed and sent through FIverr. I asked the Logic Pro x user to update his version to 11 just in case there was an incompatibility issue. He said he was unable to update due to his OS version on Mac. So he is stuck with version Logic Pro x and we don’t know how to resolve issue. I just need him to open file.

Has anyone encountered this issue before or know of a work around?

Are there comparability issues between sending Logic Pro 11 file to Logic Pro X user? Thanks

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 14.5

It is not a question of whether you compress or not. But there is a crucial difference between a Logic project and exported tracks/files. If you send a Logic project, you would have to assume that the other person has exactly the same set-up as you, but this is very unlikely. The usual professional standard procedure is to export (bounce or render) your session as separate tracks that contain all the sound(s) generated or transformed by the plugins and also have the same starting point. The other person must be able to import the files, regardless of which software or setup he/she is using.

The most convenient way is to learn and use the option File > Export > x Tracks as Audio Files.
