Why is block sender missing from Mail in Mojave 10.14.6

I apologize for being rude. I have realized that Apple, in it's wisdom has moved the block feature. If you open the email and click on the unwanted address at the top of the page, it now appears in the drop down, instead of in the preview screen where it used to reside.

Correct, it's not there in Mojave...

The Mail app in macOS Catalina has been updated to allow you to easily block and unsubscribe to emails. It can block all email from specified senders and move their messages directly to the trash.

So precisely what use is this? It has apparently been removed, which is no great loss as it was useless, but sorry to be so blunt, so is this response:

Updated HOW, what needs to be done to "easily block and unsubscribe"

Not that I have found and certainly nothing effective.

Writing new rules doesn't help.

sending mail to junk does NOTHING to block it in any way.

Are you certain you want to shoot the messenger? We're just other users here trying to help or answer your questions.
