Sonoma: cannot connect server (SSD at Fritz router) permanent at boot of MacMini

I need to connect a SSD on my AVM Fritz router permanent to my MacMini as a NAS. Target is to use this setup for making backups by the backup tool "Duplicati". After finishing the backup I will remove the plug of the SSD for preventing external attacks. After plug-in the SSD for a new backup I will start the Mac Mini. This backup is in addition to the use of Time Machine.

But since transfer of my Mac Mini to MacOS Sonoma I do not find this option in the former system settings at USER & GROUPS. Where is this setting? And how to use it?

If you need some more details or background information, please ask for it.

Thanks in advance for support.

Using the USB port of a router for a cheap NAS is not a good idea. Home routers are not known for having the best firmware. I personally will never use the USB port of a router. If you want a NAS, then purchase a dedicated NAS. Synology makes a popular & reliable NAS with lots of models & options. At least some of them are able to be the destination for Time Machine backups.

Synology has a single drive NAS, or multi-drive NAS devices so prices can be inexpensive or expensive. The following Synology NAS is a single drive offering for about $150US (you need to supply a hard drive or SSD for it):

Here are some of the other offerings for a multi-drive NAS:

What setting are you referring to here?
