How to optimise battery life on MacBook Air?

I charged my MacBook upto 78 percent and used for little time then its battery didn't reduced .....after 4 hours as I seen my MacBook battery charge it was 82... what is this? its my first apple product bought 15 days ago..... lastvcharge also showing 78% then how it is 82 %...?? how automatic increase??? battery also draining too much fast

Stop trying to micro manage the battery. The MacOS manages the power/charging system very well. When convenient to do so, leave the computer plugged in. Neither the battery or the computer will be damaged by leaving it plugged in.
