SanDisk SSD (model SDSSDE61-2T00-G25) compatible with 2024 MacBook Air (M3 chip)?

Does anyone now if SanDisk SSD (model SDSSDE61-2T00-G25) is compatible with 2020 MacBook Air (Intel 5) OS?

I'm thinking of getting the below but I'm not sure if it is compatible with my 2020 MacBook Air (Intel 5) OS.

SanDisk 2TB Extreme Portable SSD - Up to 1050MB/s, USB-C, USB 3.2 Gen 2, IP65 Water and Dust Resistance, Updated Firmware - External Solid State Drive - SDSSDE61-2T00-G25

I don't have any direct experience with sandisk drives, but just about any manufacturer's drives will work with a Mac. but please be sure to NOT use any preloaded software (or install such software on your own) that supposedly makes a drive "Mac ready".

when you use software from just about any manufacturer for their storage device you run the risk of that same software not being compatible with macOS updates / upgrades. it can cause the software to stop working. at best this will cause you a headache. at worst it can render your data inaccessible. it is always best to use disk utility to erase and format a drive before use to remove any preloaded software.
