2019 MacBook Pro recently upgraded to Sequoia 15.1.1. Chrome is slow when I type in the search bar takes a few seconds to catch up with my typing then search bar and screen starts to flash. I switch to another search engine and this allows Chrome to react. I have tried re-installing Chrome, cleared all history, removed extensions but problem still exists.
Any suggestions?

Try a different browser and compare your results....
if the issue is Chrome—if in doubt search the developers website or contact their: Support/Help/FAQ/Known issues/compatibility/updates…

Reset Chrome settings to default
it's Chrome that is the issue Firefox, Safari, Opera and Dukc Duck Go all ok
FWIW, I just checked Chrome 131.0.6778.86 on an M3 iMac and have no such issues.
