After opening a pdf it remains as it is for some time and then black screen appears and i pad gets lock my purpose of using i pad is reading most of the times and now I can’t read my pdfs literally disappeared also i pad got slow after update

I've just updated my i pad and now pdf gets close just after opening it i mean literally I can’t read anything from pdf
