Mac Pro 2019 and Cinema Display recognized but no image

My mac Pro 2019 will load the cinema screen on start up but there is no image. I have a Radion pro 580x 8gb video card. Mac Sonoma 14.8.1 96gb Ram DD4r. The monitor works on other computers. I used. I tried a HDMI to DVI adapter, a usbc to DVI and dispaly port to DVI same results

Anything wider than 1920 can not be used with an ordinary DVI adapter, or converter from HDMI. It requires Dual-Link DVI, which has three additional data pairs in all the cables all the way through.


appropriate adapters from USB-C appear to be available from:star tech, club 3d, Ez quest , cable creation for around US$50 to US$100.
