Battery health of iPad Air 5

Battery depleting from full to zero in 5 hours while using Safari browsing. The iPad Air is two years and seven months from new. There is no way of seeing the battery health in Settings. Do I have to buy a new battery?

Given your concern, your would be best advised to seek assistance directly from Apple Support - and request a remote diagnostic test of your iPad. You can contact the Support Team using the Support link at top-right or bottom-left of this page. Alternatively and perhaps easier, you can initiate and manage your support cases using the excellent Apple Support App. If not already installed on your iPad, the App can be downloaded from the App Store:

You might also visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to test and assess your iPad.

The results of the test will likely inform your next steps. Should the iPad require service, Apple's Technicians will assist you with exploring your available options.
