Fraud on credit card via Apple Pay

I have had a monthly charge of £29.99 for documentries.pro. I have reported it to my credit card company who tell me it was made using Apple Pay , it was nt, there is no way I would search for such a company and then purposefully pay for it. I have heard recently of lots of strange erroneous payments being taken from there wallet using apple pay without there knowledge, surely it’s becoming a problem and Apple needs to look into this oh and my credit card company obviously won’t refund me

you were charged by Apple? Or, the card company thinks it was Apple Pay? Your card credentials were likely compromised; it’s also possible someone added your card to their Apple Pay if permitted by your bank (which typically needs your bank credentials too). Nothing can be charged using your Apple Pay without you authenticating on device.
