Hearing aides streaming

I have iPhone 13. Software is up to date. I have TruHearing aides. My left one will not stream. There is no sound. The right is okay. Service provider says it’s my phone. Can anyone help.

Am no expert in this area, yet your question certainly deserves some response.

Apple support has articles online (links below) that may be helpful in finding a solution:

You might want to browse the list below to check whether your TruHearing aids are "Made for iPhone"

Apple Support's : List of Made for iPhone hearing devices - Apple Support

lists the compatible TruHearing hearing aids below

TruHearing

  • Flyte
  • Flyte 770
  • Flyte 990
  • TH BTE, BTE LI
  • TH Canal/ITE*, ITC/HS/ITE LI*
  • TH ITE LI*
  • TH RIC*

There may be an Accessibility setting in place that streams to the right hearing aid.

If so, you could choose to change the setting so audio streams to both hearing aids.

Apple Support's article: Use hearing devices with iPhone - Apple Support

Eg: says:

"Adjust the settings and view the status of your hearing devices

  • In Settings: Go to Settings > Accessibility > Hearing Devices > MFi Hearing Devices.
  • By triple-clicking the side or Home button: Use the Accessibility Shortcut if you’ve set it up.
  • In Control Center: Tap . (If you don’t see , add it to Control Center.)
  • On the Lock Screen:
  • Go to Settings > Accessibility > Hearing Devices > MFi Hearing Devices, then turn on Control on Lock Screen. From the Lock Screen, you can do the following:
    • Check battery status.
    • Adjust ambient microphone volume and equalization.
    • Choose which hearing device (left, right, or both) receives streaming audio.
    • Control Live Listen.
    • Choose whether phone and media audio are routed to the hearing device.
    • Choose to play ringtones through the hearing device.

If the above has been of no assistance, you might want to try adjusting the audio balance:

The audio settings can be set to mono (left and right speakers play the same audio) or to stereo

If needed: you can: Adjust audio settings on iPhone

Eg: says:

"Balance the audio

  1. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Audio & Visual.
  2. Adjust any of the following:
    • Mono Audio: Turn on Mono Audio to make the left and right speakers play the same content.
    • Stereo Audio Balance: Drag the Balance slider left or right."

All the best :-)
