Do you all face the same issues as I do? Here it is:
I’ve installed the new version of iOS(18.2) and i’m struggling with a few issues:
1- Overheating a lot overheating only when i tried to use the new Ai features like GenMoji and Playground app , I just wanted to try out these features.
2- Extremely battery drain , again related to the new Ai features.
My question is why is this happening ?

iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 18
For me, iPhone 14 Pro Max, updated and while on a wireless charger within 5 minutes stopped charging and it noted that it would continue when it cooled down. It was extremely hot.
When on a charger, it slowly drained. I checked what was using my battery and it had a mile tracker app running in the background, and it was at 99% of the batteries usage. Not used the app for quite a while so I deleted it and it seems to be charging again now.
Disabled too, hope this helps me too 🙏 will post update later
I don’t understand my battery is draining while I have it plugged in. This has never happened before with my iPhone 13 Max Pro. Crazy
I’ve noticed the most significant battery drain when I plug my phone in while driving. If I do anything, including play music or use Apple Maps, the phone drains 1% per minute.
Still same battery drain and sometimes heat while I have my phone in my pocket or while I use it, will see if anything changes tomorrow
Not really having a heating up issue, but my battery is dying so much faster (yes I have an iPhone 12 with 87% battery health but it’s draining even faster now than before)

Im gonna switch to my iPad lol at least i have strong battery life and a bigger display plus no heating issues hahaha

Sounds like an ESPN app issue. Have you deleted the app and downloaded a fresh copy. Crashing apps can definitely cause devices to run warmer.

Which is 18 update? iOS 18.2 was just released Wednesday.

How did you do it? In Settings -> Apple Intelligence & Siri I see only suggestions/notifications triggers, but nothing about turning the whole thing on/off.
