Inaccessible print features due to Print Center on iMac

I see that this problem has been discussed separately under a similar title but with no resolution.

I recently backtracked from Sequoia to Sonoma on my iMac but with it came something called "Print Center” which puts multiple print queues in one window (not too useful in my opinion), but it interposes itself and denies access to some print features that I relied on, such as making PDFs. In the previous conversation, it appears that the ability to specify one-sided printing is also inaccessible.

This is an important loss of capability for no good reason that Apple should deal with. It is important to be able to remove or disable Print Center.

Did you possibly have either Adobe Acrobat or another virtual PDF printer installed in the past. That may explain why you are looking for something in print center. However, that is completely unecessary on the Mac as every native print dialog box contains a "PDF" drop down in the lower left that allows saving ("printing") directly to many common PDF and related formats.
