Unable to reinstall TikTok app after deletion

I just deleted the tik tok app because everyone’s started working again and was going to redownload it and it won’t show up on the Apple Store to redownload even though I have a tik tok account

I deleted TikTok once I heard that it would be banned because I thought it would be it then it was announced that TikTok had been UN-banned so I went to the App Store and I couldn’t find the app to put TikTok back in the App Store for the people who deleted it since it is now unbanned

The White House has signed an
executive order for Tiktok but why is it still not back on the app store

Do you know what an Executive Order can and cannot do? Our country has 3 branches of Government each with their own checks and balances. Otherwise it would be a Dictatorship. Congress has NOT overturned the law and the Supreme Court has not ruled that an Executive Order can even eliminate the fines that the law puts in place on Google and Apple for allowing a user to download the app.

To help you understand, start here:

Still, any legal shield Trump promises by way of executive action will not hold up in court, Rozenshtein argues.

"This is not a power the president has, and he cannot wish it into existence merely by saying something and calling it an executive order," he said.

I actually offloaded the app scared thinking if I deleted it all my drafts will be gone. I offloaded to save storage and data without the actual storage getting deleted will the apps bring unused. I heard it was back so I went to go kick on it and now it’s not a app and everyone has it but me now when I never really even deleted the app, I feel I should be able to get it back including anyone else who deleted it thinking it’ll come back.

They DID reply to everyone. That reply is a link in this thread that has been posted around a dozen times. Bottom line: Apple would be violating the law if they put it back. The 75 day stay applies only to TikTok service, not TikTok apps.

Believe. The law was not put on hold. ONE ASPECT of the law was temporarily delayed, but the part of the law banning the app was not. And we will find out in the next few days if even the executive order is “legal”.

i Never deleted TikTok and can still use it but now my SE is broken and I was going to switch over to iPhone 16 but then realized I probably can’t download TikTok anymore, so now I’m wondering what Apple is going to do about this especially with newer phones and further.

Apple is going to continue obeying the law that banned apps. That law differs from the one that banned TikTok itself.
