Unable to reinstall TikTok app after deletion

I just deleted the tik tok app because everyone’s started working again and was going to redownload it and it won’t show up on the Apple Store to redownload even though I have a tik tok account

I deleted TikTok once I heard that it would be banned because I thought it would be it then it was announced that TikTok had been UN-banned so I went to the App Store and I couldn’t find the app to put TikTok back in the App Store for the people who deleted it since it is now unbanned

I know that the app isn’t in the Apple Store, but I don’t think it’s fair that people who didn’t delete the app can still use it. Imo if TikTok is still technically banned, it should be idle for the people who didn’t delete it.

The fines that the law put on Google and Apple were only for downloads of the app in the App Store, neither company faced fines for a previously downloaded app from being used. Apple cannot remove any app from your device.

Why is Apple denying the use or download of Tictok

Apple is not denying the use of TikTok and any previous download will still work and you can access it on the web using Safari. You cannot download TikTok from either the App Store or the Google Play store as the law imposing fines on both companies has NOT been overturned. The Executive Order extended the time to sell TikTok, but that still must happen under the current law. There has not been a legal ruling saying the Apple or Google would no longer be fined for allowing downloads.

APPLE BRING BACK TIKTOK TO THE APPSTORE NOW🥲

If you were a previous TikTok user, you would have already had the app and it would continue to work. You can also access on the web using Safari. Did you really just decide today that you would like to download TikTok? That would seem highly unlikely and is difficult to claim you are being harmed for something you did not have before and can still even access today on the web if you wish.

Since the law that placed fines on Apple and Google has NOT been overturned, all you can do now is use the Web version which can be accessed with Safari. There has been no ruling from the Supreme Court if those fines imposed by the law can be removed, so you will just have to wait and see what happens.

If you do not agree with the law, did you let your Representative know? It is Congress that enacted that law and you should know who your Legislatures are and how they voted. That is simply how Government works and all Apple can do is abide by the laws that have been passed. You will also see that Google and Microsoft must do the same thing and TikTok is not available in their App Stores either.

Nope! The fines on Google, Apple, and Microsoft for allowing users to download the app in their App Stores has NOT been overturned. Congress has not overturned the law and the Supreme Court has not ruled whether an Executive Order could eliminate the fines imposed by the law. Just have to wait and see.

Until then, use Safari and access it on the web.

Sorry, you have made some poor decisions. Not sure if you were able to change your region back to the US, but you have now lost any playlists you had created with Apple Music. We tried warning users of the consequences of changing regions, but apparently you did not see those post. All you can do now is access TikTok on the web using Safari.
