I changed the admin password on my older MacBook Air because my kids kept changing things on their schooling and I needed them locked out. Well I can not remember the admin password. It says I can reset it with the “master password” but I have no idea what that is. Please help. Would really like some of the info off this computer.

you can reset the password using terminal ,and also check if you have an signed in apple id in the device ,you need to provide password of apple id before resetting the password .
