Issue with Changing iTunes to a "previous Library" saved on a back-up drive

Per procedure tips on this HELP site, I was able to change my iTunes Library to a previous one that was backed up on my Storage Drive. This worked great and I had to locate a few MP3 files and add them back to my current 'iTunes Media' folder and download a few songs through the "Cloud" image that popped up.

So after closing my iTunes APP at the end of yesterday and Starting it up the next day I received a message saying : "My iTunes was NOT attached to a "Library" and requested me to "Choose" one to use. When I went through the choosing of my previous Library yesterday . . . is there something I need to do to "lock in" that chosen Library from that point on ?

See Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash - Apple Community. Ideally you work with a copy of the restored dated file, so you can repeat the process again if necessary. It is also a good time to backup everything if you haven't already done so. Are you using any third party AV software? This can sometimes interact badly with the way that iTunes updates the library database.
