My AirPods won’t connect with my MacBook Air

My earbuds show up on my laptop looking for a device to connect with, but it doesn’t recognize my Macbook Air. Sysem running is OS Sequoia 15.1.1. I am not sure when I purchased my apple earbuds, but they are not that old

Airpods won't connect to new macbook air I recently bought a new macbook air (m2) and my airpods won't connect. I restarted the bluetooth, reset the airpods, tried pairing them, made sure my mac was up-to-date, made sure the airpods were charged, and all of the other things recommended on the forums. Still won't connect. After I made my bluetooth forget the device, the airpods don't even show up as an option on my mac when I try pairing. Please help.

AirPods 3rd gen connection issues I am using a MBA 2015 that runs Mojave, the airpods 3 used to work with it but now they have stopped connecting. The only way they would work before was that I had to forget the device each time I was done using it and reconnect it the next time I wanted to use it but now it doesn't even connect to begin with. I haven't installed any updates because there aren't any updates for Mojave in 2023 (not that I know of). I can't upgrade to Monterey because I don't want my mac to become slower. Shouldn't the airpods connect to older OS versions as ordinary audio output devices without the special features. They do connect to an Android device with any problem. It says connected but keeps spinning and the Audio preferences do not detect the airpods. After doing that for a few seconds it says not connected.

On the other hand, if you are referring to the wired Apple EarBuds, then that would be different issue.
