Stress testing my iMac

If i was to make a stress test on my 27" 2010 corei7 iMac, to see how the temperatures rise and how fast i can make them fall... how would u suggest to cause the "stress"... perhaps a cinebench test?

iMac 27″, macOS 10.13

I'm sure a 2010 iMac has already gone through a lifetime of stress testing. ;)

For stress testing the CPU and GPU


For RAM testing:


For disk testing:


If you prefer an "all-in-one" testing app:


For a system-wide stress test:

  • Prime95 - You would select "Torture Test" mode for maximum stress testing.


Alternately, if you are comfortable with using commands in the Terminal, there are a number of methods that can be done via this avenue.
