Updated to 18.3.1 yesterday, and today Face ID fails every time. Anyone else? Is there a fix?

I wanted to give everyone an update... I couldn't get this resolved so I scheduled a Genius appointment.
They confirmed they couldn't get it to work... some speculation that the front-facing sensors for Face ID were about to fail, and that the 18.3.1 update might have just taken them over the edge. I'm not sure if I totally buy that, but they were able to resolve my issue by replacing the physical hardware part. They did the repair in an hour while I waited. Very professional and also very quick repair in my opinion.
The two sensors at play are not the clear front facing camera we use for selfies, but rather the two dark colored lenses to the left of the earpiece/speaker.

I had this repaired 5 days ago and everything is still working great.
I’m using an iPhone 15 Pro Max which i’ve been using for a year and 2 months. No repairs, replacement. Never had an issue before the 18.3.1 update.
I have tried all work arounds I’ve found online. None of it works. I’m just waiting for the update and hope it fixes it.
My Face ID stop working on iphone 13 after the iOS 18.3.1 update. I have tried reseting Face Id but cannot manage as it will go on loops, making me put my passcode, and then trying again to read my face.
I have a 15Plus. Immediately after updating to 18.3 my Face ID does not work. I have tried all troubleshooting. Nothing works. Frustrating at best. Easy tasks prior to updating have now become cumbersome.
Update.I made the upgrade 18.3.2 It was working fine 6 to 10 hrs.Suddenly started giving the same issue ,the Face ID not recognise my face and I have disabled newly the FID because all apps were giving error respect the Face ID.A Crazy!!!
Hello Guys,I discovered a relation between the “Mode used” and a he Face ID Problem.I selected the Mode “none” and the Face ID Problem is not present.Before I have diferente mode and the Face ID worked by range of the day.I hope to help with this trick.
It did not work for me and I have an Iphone 12 Pro Max. I'm reaching out to Apple now. Anyone else having this issue right after the latest update?
Bummer it didn't work for you. It resolved it for me on my 15 Pro, and my wife's 16 Pro didn't have the issue at all.
Same here, and I agree that it was an issue with 18.3.1 and not hardware.
Same that Face ID stopped working after the update. Tried reset but it won’t allow me to set a new one.

But I can’t reset cause the stolen phone activation is on and can’t be off if I don’t use Face ID
I’ve tried reset. I’ve tried to add alternative appearance. No results. Face ID works badly:((
