I am running macOS 12.7.6 on my machine and everything is happy. Of course, I cannot use some of the latest Adobe apps but with the 3.3 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i5, I know it has limitations.
So, it's tax season and the new TurboTax will not run on anything under macOS 13.0 Ventura. Any advice? Should I just return the new TurboTax?

I did upgrade to Ventura. No issues and I can now run later Adobe apps and TurboTax 2024. I will keep the the idea of running Sequoia on an external drive when and if I decide to upgrade.
that iMac can run all the way up to Sequoia. so Ventura would not be a problem for it. frankly, if all my Macs could run Sequoia, that is what they would be running.
Before moving from Monterey just be sure you have compatible apps. I kept my iMac at 12.7.6 because of that. I have two other Macs that use Sequoia on. Also you could run Sequoia on an external drive with your iMac and run TT from that drive. That is what I do.
