Microsoft Edge i-Cloud passwords Extension - No Biometric Verifier Device Error

Hello. Newbie here. I want to use the iCloud Password extension on the Microsoft Edge browser, on my Lenovo laptop, but it does not have facial recognition capability. I cannot access my passwords on my laptop now. I really don't want to switch to the Microsoft passwords product, but also don't want to have to manually look up every password on my phone and enter it. PLEASE HELP! Is there a solution, a way to have Apple turn off my facial recognition for passwords or something?
