How can I disable option panel when opening a folder on my Mac?

This is annoying. Now using Sequoia. Often, when I double click on a folder, trying to open it, the first click gives me a panel with options. I don't want options. I want to open the !@#$%^ folder! How do I avoid this panel of options that pops up when I click on something?

This MacBook Air, with trackpad(?)


Make changes to your Settings and compare your results:


>System Settings>Trackpad
