Suddenly empty folders in iCloud, 20.000 in removed, CANNOT restore

Since I downloaded my files in icloud.com, the folders on my phone are empty... In the removed folder I now find 20.000 files. But the Restore button below the list does not work. Also in Settings the Restore function does not work. I have a big problem losing all these files in 20 days from now. Who knows a solution?

cannot restore files in icloud I mistakenly deleted a subfolder in my iCloud folder. After I realized this, I went to my iCloud account and attempted the 'Restore Files' function. I have tried the restore on my PC as well as Ipad and each time I get the following message, 'There was a problem loading this content. Try later' In searching, the last comment on this problem was from 2016. Has anyone encountered this message and if so, any solution? Thanks Joe

some of my files in icloud drive disappeared. why? can i restore them? several files in my iphone and in icloud drive disappeared.

icloud drive has stopped responding I just discovered that so many files are missing from my iphone10x "files" folder which is backed up to icloud. I logged on to the icloud.com and noticed many files are missing without any of my doing. Why did this happened? If I can't trust apple with my files who do I trust? This is so terrible as many of these files are not available anymore, I went I cloud.com and clicked "Recently Deleted" and saw so many files are in that folder. I clicked "recover all" and received the "icloud drive has stopped responding" message I am so frustrated as I don't know how to get my files back.
