What is the grey box which covers my typing on Facebook. This has started since Apple gave Starmer permission to snoop

This is what happens when you don't take the time to read past the first post. Had you done so, you'd already know that all you have to do is update the Facebook app as Meta, the parent company of Facebook acknowledged the issue and issued an app update last week, which fixes this.

I agree. I won’t bother coming here again. I only wanted to know if it was just iPhones or Facebook. How do I delete this thread?
I also have the annoying grey box show up after I type a few words on Facebook, or comment on any post, iPhone 13 . Started the last 3 days
I’m getting the same thing and it’s so annoying. I try to go back and take something that I wrote off in the same comment and it won’t let me do it. Facebook needs to stop this
I guess apple doesn’t feel like they owe their customers an explanation.

No one is asking Apple to correct something on Facebook! I can only speak for myself and I just felt asking others here if they experienced this phenomenon. I NEVER ASKED APPLE TO Fix IT!

I thought it was only me. I deleted the app and reinstalled. Same thing. Tonight I was answering someone on FB and I said I was a Democrat. Once I entered Democrat, the grey box popped up.
