Gray box whilst typing in Facebook on iPhone
What is the grey box which covers my typing on Facebook. This has started since Apple gave Starmer permission to snoop

This is what happens when you don't take the time to read past the first post. Had you done so, you'd already know that all you have to do is update the Facebook app as Meta, the parent company of Facebook acknowledged the issue and issued an app update last week, which fixes this.

I get it as well iphone16 pro
I am in the US, not the UK and I bought my phone from an Apple Store in the US, so I dont think it’s just a UK issue. Very annoying
I am getting this on my Iphone 16 as well as my Ipad Air. Very frustrating.

Same issue with the FB app on iOS in March 2025 of a light grey box covering the text/typing box when making a comment.
This is happening when I text on my IPhone 16, my IPad Air and when commenting on a FB post. Started this past week.
this is happening when texting on my iPhone, texting on my iPad and now when I comment on FB posts.
Read my comment again. Has nothing to do with FB

Nope. My phone is a 15. It started Monday when I got the latest software update. 18.3.1

I knew that already! I didn’t realize I couldn’t be free to say what I want without writing my version of War & Peace! No wonder I do not waste my time coming on here!
