My iphone sits on a charging stand in clock mode (horizontal). When a call comes in I can see the buttons to accept a call but when I pick it up so that I can hit a button to answer it, the buttons disappear and there is no way for me to answer it even though it is still ringing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. iPhone 13 Pro ios 18.3.2

In case anyone comes here in the future with this problem I found the answer. When the buttons to answer disappears there is a tiny phone icon in the upper left corner. Click on that and the slide to answer slider will appear.

Also try Settings, apps, phone, incoming calls, full screen
Because it is at an awkward angle for me to look at it when I am sitting up in bed (I am disabled and have an electric bed) and not laying down. Plus if it is still ringing when I pick it up, shouldn't I be able to answer it?
Why not accept the call, then pick it up?

in case you had read all the answers, If you did as I suggested and put it on FULL SCREEN mode it would no longer be tiny.
It was already in full screen mode and it was tiny
