My iphone 15 pro battery is declining quickly

Sounds normal to me. My iPhone13 Pro max battery is now at 82% Maximum Capacity and I've had it since Sept of 2021. Apple says only need to worry about battery if it drops below 80% Maximum Capacity. You have a ways to go yet on your battery.

Make sure in Settings > Battery > Battery Health & Charging > you have Optimized Battery Charging to ON. It does help in the life of the battery.

The battery health was at 100% for 7 months after I bought it

That is truly amazing. It should have declined much faster initially, but things are catching up now.

Months don't mean much. Charge Cycles do.

On average, Battery Health / Maximum Capacity will decline about 1% for every 50 Charge Cycles.

So, 254 Charge Cycles divided by 50 = 5.08% Round that off to 5%

Max Capacity should be at about 95% at this time. The fact that your phone is at 97% tells me that your battery was really at 103-104% when new. But, Apple will still display that as 100%.

You will drive yourself crazy if you are checking the battery all the time though. All that really matters is that you replace the battery when it is down to 80% Max Capacity.
