Notifications DO NOT turn on (light) my iPhone screen
Hello all, in June 2004 I bought an iphone 14 pro which required update to 17.5.1 to be set-up. I transferred everything from my old XS (running iOS 16 and working absolutely normally in everything). From the very first time the notifications made sound when arriving but the lock screen didn’t light. Only if I have “always on display” (which I do not prefer) I can see notifications.
I tried almost every advice found on google search. I had extensive calls with Apple Support which offered nothing. They run various tests and no hardware issue was flagged. We did many other thing e.g. forget wi-fi, disable bluetooth etc. etc. Told me to wait for new iOS. I waited till 18.3.2 now and the issue persists.
Some thing I've tried already:
- I've done a full DFU reinstall - No change.
- I've setup the iPhone 14 PM 100% manually (no configuration carried over) and the problem persists.
- I've noticed when I call the phone the screen lights up with no issue however any other notifications including iMessages do NOT turn the screen on.
- I transferred my backup to another phone (iPhone XS) - this phone works perfect. ALL notifications are normal
- I've set-up the phone as new and placed another sim (with another number and carrier) - No change
- I removed tempered glass/screen protector and case (completely naked iphone) - No change
The issue remains the same many months and iOS releases. Is there anybody with the same issue which was finally resolved?
