My phone has too many phones.

iPhone 15 pro max on t-mobile, not using dual esims…

when I’m on a call and I put it on speaker and minimize it I realized the numbers don’t work in automated systems unless I minimize it again and go over to a different screen of the same (standard) phone app.

i took a screen recording of it, but I’ll need to upload it elsewhere. In the meantime…. Totally normal, right?

You have switched to the App Switcher, which you can then swipe up the apps, which you've used recently to fully close them. You don't have too many phones. You have a lot of recently used apps. When you're on a call, you don't need to minimize anything. Speak on the phone and look in the Dynamic Island for the green phone icon. Tap the green phone icon and you can open the number pad if you need to use it.

Lobsterghost1 is correct. You’re looking at two different apps. One is the native app Apple installs on each iPhone. The other is an app you downloaded and choose to use. You have some phone numbers in one app and some in the third party app. That’s your own doing. Sorry.

The image below is Apple’s native app and it doesn’t match the top most keypad you’re sharing.
