Entered dates on either device but won't sync with each other. Tried rebooting both devices, checked settings with no luck. My entered dates were disappearing on my iPhone 13 Pro. Both devices have current IOS. Any suggestions? Is this a glitch with Apple?

Entering an event on any date only to have it either disappear (iPhone) or never sync with either device whether it's entered on my iPhone or my iMac. I'm using the calendar that comes with the Mac IOS. They're not communicating with each other. This happened after the last IOS update. On previous entered events, you can see the "circling arrows" in the top right of the event but any new events entered, there are no arrows which would indicate to me they aren't syncing with each other.
What does “entered dates” mean exactly?
